FastMoss vs Kalodata 2026: Pricing, Data Coverage and Who Each One Suits
These are the two names that come up in every TikTok Shop research conversation, and the honest answer to "which is better" is that they are built around different jobs. One is a research and outreach console. The other is a deeper historical database.
Quick answer
FastMoss publishes open pricing — $46 / $71 / $89 per month on annual billing — and is stronger on creator outreach, with per-tier contact quotas and exports. Kalodata keeps its pricing behind a login, claims a 1,000-day history window and the larger dataset, and suits long-run category and live-shopping analysis. Both give free trials; neither publishes a permanent free plan. If affiliate recruitment is your bottleneck, start with FastMoss. If category history is, start with Kalodata.
Head to head, on published information only
Everything below comes from the vendors' own pages where the vendor publishes it, and is labelled as third-party reporting where it does not. We have deliberately not filled gaps with estimates: the pattern of what a vendor publishes is itself useful information.
| FastMoss | Kalodata | |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing transparency | Public pricing page with three annual-billing tiers | Pricing page requires login; rates not published |
| Published entry price | $46/month (annual billing) | Not published; entry tier reported near $46/month |
| Published top tier | $89/month (annual billing), plus enterprise | Not published; senior tier reported around $99–$110 |
| History window | 90 / 180 / 1,200 days by tier | Self-reported 1,000 days |
| Daily detail-page quota | 150 / 500 / unlimited by tier | Reported around 100 / 500 by tier |
| Creator contact export | Yes — 5/day on entry, 300/day mid, unlimited top | Creator coverage plus AI-assisted outreach; quota detail not published |
| Ad creative data | Dedicated ads dimension in the product | Ad analysis included |
| Market coverage | 20+ markets across the US, UK, South-East Asia, Europe and Latin America | Reported US, UK and several European markets |
| Free trial | 7 days | 7 days |
| Permanent free plan | No | No |

What each one is actually good at
FastMoss is a working console. Its tier structure is unusually legible: history depth, daily quotas and creator-contact limits all scale in the same direction, so it is straightforward to work out which tier you need. The tier list is effectively a description of the workflow it was designed for — find a product, find the creators selling adjacent products, contact them. On the entry tier the contact limit of five a day is a genuine constraint; the middle tier's 300 a day is the point at which creator outreach becomes an actual programme.
Kalodata is a database play. A 1,000-day history window and the larger claimed dataset are aimed at sellers who want to know what a category has done over years rather than weeks — useful for seasonal planning, for judging whether a trend has legs, and for live-shopping analysis where longer sequences matter. It also uses AI tools for creator outreach, though the quotas are not published the way FastMoss's are.
One thing both share: neither is affiliated with TikTok, and both say so. Kalodata states on its own site that it is not officially connected to TikTok. That matters less for accuracy than for expectation — any third-party figure can differ from what Seller Center reports, and the divergence is a data-collection difference, not necessarily an error in either.
The pricing gap is smaller than it looks
The published entry prices land in the same place, around $46 a month, and the tiers above them differ by less than the noise in most sellers' monthly profit. So price is a weak tiebreaker here. What matters more is what the subscription costs per unit you sell.
| Monthly units | $46/month per unit | $89/month per unit |
|---|---|---|
| 100 | $0.46 | $0.89 |
| 500 | $0.09 | $0.18 |
| 1,000 | $0.05 | $0.09 |
Run that against your own per-unit profit before choosing a tier, because the tier you can afford is a function of your margin, not of your ambition. A seller keeping $9.81 a unit (see the default example) can carry the top tier without noticing it. A seller keeping $1.50 a unit is buying 12% of their profit on the entry tier alone, and should be on a free trial deciding whether to buy at all.
Which one should you pick?
| If your bottleneck is… | Start with |
|---|---|
| Recruiting affiliates and contacting creators at volume | FastMoss — published contact quotas and exports |
| Judging whether a category trend is durable, over years not weeks | Kalodata — longer history window |
| Not knowing what your data even looks like yet | Neither — exhaust Seller Center and the Creative Center first |
| Running ads and needing creative inspiration | Neither — an ads-spy tool is the right category for that |
| Working a small or unusual category | Take both free trials and check your category's depth in each before paying |
If you take one practical thing from this comparison: run the trial on your own niche, not on the demo category. Coverage differs enormously by market and category, and the strongest predictor of whether a research subscription pays off is whether the tool is deep in the specific thing you sell. Our stage-by-stage tool guide covers where a subscription fits in the bigger stack, including the free alternatives.
Frequently asked questions
Is FastMoss or Kalodata cheaper?
FastMoss publishes its pricing openly: $46, $71 and $89 per month on annual billing across three tiers. Kalodata's pricing page requires a login and does not show rates publicly, so a direct comparison is not possible from published sources. FastMoss reported entry pricing is around $46/month; Kalodata's entry tier is reported near the same level with a professional tier around $99 to $110.
Which one has more historical data?
Kalodata claims a thousand-day history window and a larger overall dataset. FastMoss splits history by tier — 90 days on the entry plan, 180 days on the middle plan and 1,200 days on the top plan — so its history depth depends on what you pay. If long-run category history is the deciding factor, check the tier rather than the brand.
Which is better for finding creators?
FastMoss is more explicit about creator outreach: contact-detail quotas and exports are published per tier, from a handful of contacts a day on the entry plan to unlimited on the top plan. Kalodata also covers creators and offers AI-assisted outreach, but its published detail is thinner. If affiliate recruitment is your main job, test FastMoss first.
Do FastMoss and Kalodata have free plans?
Neither publishes a permanent free plan. Both offer a free trial, typically around seven days, without a card in some cases. Given that data coverage varies by category and market, use the trial on your own niche before deciding — a tool that is excellent for beauty in the US can be thin for a small category in another market.
Are FastMoss and Kalodata affiliated with TikTok?
No. Kalodata states on its own site that it is not officially affiliated with TikTok, and FastMoss is likewise an independent third-party service. Both are data aggregators, which is also why their numbers can differ from Seller Center and from each other.
Do the per-unit math first
Neither tool fixes a product that does not make money. Before comparing subscriptions, get an honest per-unit figure from the profit calculator — creator commission, FBT, ad spend and returns all included. Then divide the subscription by your monthly units and see what percentage of that profit you would be spending. The ROAS calculator handles the other fixed cost most sellers carry, ad spend.
Know what a subscription costs per unit before you buy it.
